Visite de Tonton Rémi et Élodie

This past weekend Antonia had a special visit from her uncle and aunt who drove all the way from Montreal! Tonton Rémi is doing his PhD in inorganic chemistry at Oxford and Élodie is doing hers at the Université de Montréal so Rémi combined the visits and surprised Antonia on Friday morning. When she woke up there were waffles and visitors!

We took a walk through Frick park which I do 2-3 times a week now, it's one of my favorite places in Pittsburgh. On the other side is a little café where we had smoothies.

Just to keep us on our toes, Antonia decided it would be a good time to pick up a stomach bug. Friday afternoon she kept saying "not very good tummy, mama." Fever and projectile vomiting ensued until the next morning. The only good thing about toddler sickness is the extra cuddles I get...

By Saturday afternoon all tummy problems were forgotten and we were off to Yellow Barn Farm in Zelionople with the Culleys. There were lots of animals and gorgeous spring smells.

Peter's aunt lives off the land, all kinds of spices and roots and conserves from the garden and surrounding farm.

These two had so much fun together.

We stayed in this little nook in the guest house. Check out that dollhouse!
