Labor Day Camping like the good 'murcans we are

Because we like adventure, we decided to go to the woods for a few days for Antonia's first camping trip. We were joined by our new friends the Khoos (who win the adventuring award for camping with a one-month-old baby, dog, and 2.5 year old). We booked two nights at the Raccoon Creek State Park campground, thinking that if we didn't stay the second night, it would be ok since we were only a 45 minute drive from home. But it was so relaxing, the weather was perfect, and I was actually enjoying being phoneless, that we took the extra 24 hours to recharge in the fresh air. We arrived Saturday afternoon and were joined by more friends with kids for beach and dinner. The kids had a great time playing together fighting over Rosie and even though it was Labor Day weekend, it was more importantly Cari's birthday weekend. Many of these shots are taken by her. We came home smelling like sweat and campfire (the best smells ever) and I am wondering why it took us so long to camp with Antonia. I expect some fall adventures are on their way.

It's a good thing Antonia is obsessed with babies!

Roasting our first marshmallows.

S'mores. Antonia didn't actually like the marshmallow (just like her mother)

Much of the time was spent loving real babies and Rosie baby doll.

Discovery of a caterpillar

OF COURSE.

Sharing some Izze. I expect sponsorship for this.

Reading to Elleanna in French.

Playground!

Making pancakes! (While Papa incinerated all the bacon over the fire)

Collin just chillin and being a super easy baby

Trying to figure out how to put their babies into carriers.

Got it.

Off for a short hike.

In the spring, this is all a waterfall apparently

Nap in tent. This was when I decided I never wanted to go home.

Saying goodbye. Babis calls Elleanna "Elonnie" and hasn't stopped talking about her since last weekend.

The token "fell asleep on way home after a wonderful weekend" shot.
